My Journey
The Camino called me.
In 1987, I spent a semester in Madrid. Almost every weekend the director of our program took us to other regions o to fully educate us on the historical, cultural and culinary highlights of Spain. My favorite field trip was to Galicia and specifically to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. As we were learning about the cathedral's history, I noticed several people walking in with backpacks. I asked my professor what they were doing and she explained that the Camino was an ancient pilgrimage where people from all over the world across Spain on a spiritual journey.

Your trip leader, Sue Skelly is a NOLS certified Wilderness First Responder and CPR certified. She is trained to handle any medical emergency on the trail. She has previously pre-walked the trail so can give expert guidance on what to expect each day. (Terrain, altitude gain/loss)
Handpicked Adventures
Sue has traveled extensively though France and Italy, walking village-to-village to establish connections with local hosts.
She personally vets all lodging and chooses each place to ensure each guest's comfort and safety.
Hidden Gem Destinations
We pride ourselves on curating unique experiences. Depending on the route, you will stay at very special places like a 13th century Medici-era villa, a 14th-century French farmhouse, a 10th century pilgrim rest stop, a Tuscan villa set amongst olive groves and vineyards, a convent, monastery and riverside spa hotel in French wine country and more.
